How to Reactivate Your EEE Listings on Amazon.de
VAT Ai Team
2023-12-13

As of July 1, 2023, Amazon.de has updated its compliance requirements for Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in Germany. Any products listed on Amazon.de that fail to comply with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations have been deactivated. To continue selling EEE products on Amazon.de, it's crucial to meet these EPR requirements.

Here's how to stay compliant:

For Producers with a Branch in Germany

1. Register Your Products: Ensure registration with stiftung ear for each brand and equipment type you sell.

2. Set Up a Collection System: Fulfill the WEEE collection and take-back requirements.

For Producers without a German Branch

Appoint a Representative: Select an authorized representative from stiftung ear's list.

For Non-Producers

Obtain Necessary Information: Ask your supplier for the WEEE-Reg.-Nrs. for all products you sell.

For Producers Not Yet Compliant

Consider signing up for VAT Ai's EPR Services. For more information, contact our sales team.

Prove Your Compliance to Amazon

Register Your Brands: Do this via the Seller Central Compliance Portal, using the WEEE-Reg.-Nrs. visible on the stiftung ear portal. (Learn more about EPR requirements: WEEE in Germany)

Non-Producers: Indicate your status when submitting WEEE-Reg.-Nrs. on the Compliance Portal.

Reactivate Your Listings

Once compliant, you can reactivate your EEE listings on Amazon.de! Check out the guide on Reinstating inactive listings for individual and bulk completion.

What If You Can't Prove Compliance?

Non-compliant listings will remain deactivated, and inventory may become stranded.

If your products aren't subject to these regulations or you need assistance, you can contact Amazon Selling Partner Support.
